“The High Note” (2020)

The High Note movie

Dakota Johnson was more than a little choppy in The High Note

As big Tracee Ellis Ross fans, we were curious about her new film The High Note, which is currently available to rent on Amazon and AppleTV due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Ross plays Grace Davis, an impossibly glamorous R&B star who is navigating what a music career is like for a 40-something woman. Helping her through all of these changes is her trusty assistant Maggie Sherwoode (Dakota Johnson) a 20-something who grew up obsessed with classic Motown records and dreams of producing albums one day.
