We have often mentioned and raved about Kelly Yang's fabulous middle grade novel "Front Desk" in this newsletter — which was one of the reasons we were so excited about her young adult debut earlier this summer.

Parachutes tells the story of Claire Wang, a wealthy teen from a tumultuous Shanghai family who is startled one day when her parents announce that they will be sending her to California to complete her high school education.
