“The Firekeeper’s Daughter” by Angeline Boulley

The Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley

The Firekeeper's Daughter is the best thriller we've read all year. Here's why we were enthralled.

It's no secret that both of us love a good mystery novel, so when we first heard of The Firekeeper's Daughter -- which is being billed as a grown-up, "Indigenous Nancy Drew" story-- we both knew that we had to read it immediately.

Set in the mid-aughts at the height of the methamphetamine epidemic, Boulley's debut novel takes place in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan amongst the area's Objiwe population.
